Seminar: Quantum Information Dynamics in Many-Body Systems 310

      310

      IAMM

Recent advances in quantum technology enable the preparation of well-isolated, far-from-equilibrium systems. In this talk, I will explore non equilibrium quantum phenomena through quantum information dynamics—the evolution of a qubit as it interacts with a many-body system. In strongly interacting systems, the local state of the qubit rapidly spreads to nonlocal degrees of freedom and ultimately becomes encoded in the many-body Hilbert space. By employing noise-driven quantum many-body systems, where noise averaging overcomes the curse of dimensionality while preserving universal features, we demonstrate that information dynamics resemble a reaction-diffusion process. The dynamics are strongly linked to the system's connectivity, integrability and symmetries, offering new insights into nonequilibrium quantum dynamics.
