      Seminar: Superconductivity and charge order in doped Hubbard model on the square lattice 310

      Understanding the origin of unconventional superconductivity in strongly correlated materials such as cuprates remains one of the most significant open questions in condensed matter physics. The Hubbard model on the square lattice is widely believed to capture the essential physics underlying high-temperature superconductivity, yet a definitive demonstration of superconducting ground states within this model has proven challenging. In this talk, I will present recent progress based on large-scale density matrix renormalization group calculations that shed light on the ground state phase diagram of the doped Hubbard model. We will explore how doping levels, next-nearest-neighbor hopping, and spatial inhomogeneities shape superconducting behavior. These findings identify parameter regimes where unconventional superconductivity emerges, providing helpful pathways to understand and realize superconductivity in cuprate systems.
